Although Lil Kim has not released an official album since 2005, she’s been looking to drop a new project soon. With this, her past albums have also been gaining buzz once again.
Her 1996 classic, Hard Core, is once again in the iTunes charts this week. The album made its way into the Top 10 of the Hip-Hop/Rap Album chart this way, her next album, The Notorious K.I.M. is Top 20 in the genre.
The resurgence for the Hard Core album might come from the fact that Nicki Minaj sampled Biggie’s “Just Playing (Dreams)” for her “Barbie Dreams” track for the Queen album.
