In a recent interview in Chicago, Kanye West went on to talk about numerous topics, some of which included President Trump, Rhymefest, his plans for Chicago, and his Adidas Yeezy line. Speaking of the shoe line, West said that the first Yeezy basketball performance sneaker is set to debut in the NBA this season.
“Definitely this year,” Kanye says. “I was talking to Eric Liedtke, the head of Adidas, about possibly my Yeezy design team — me, Mark Miner, Steven Smith — possibly designing the entire Adidas Basketball unit. We’re in conversations about that right now and I’m saying it aloud to put it into the universe.”
The public is still unsure about how the Yeezy basketball shoe will look like, but prototypes have surfaced suggesting they will be high-tops.
