West Coast group Tha Alkaholiks released their debut album ’21 & Over’ 25 years ago, today, August 24th.

Praised and described as the ultimate West Coast party album. Released through then record label Loud/RCA, The Liks made their music premiere with featured tracks “Make Room,” “Likwit,” and “Mary Jane.”

Flipping through all the throwback vibes in this newest edition of Wax Only, Vin Rican highlights some of the class samples used on the project, which include cuts form The Whole Darn Family’s “Seven Minutes Of Funk,” James Brown’s “The Payback,” The Fatback Band’s “Put The Funk On You,” and more.
