Mario is set to appear on-screen on Fox’s Empire when it returns at the end of this month. Billboard reports that he will take on the role as Devon, a recurring character in the show.

The character of Devon will be “an earnest, up-and-coming R&B singer who supports his ailing sister.” Mario’s character will be a free agent who is in between the bidding battle of the Empire label and the Lyon Family Management, which is their new company.

Mario will be making a comeback this year, with his new album Dancing Shadows set to drop soon, he is ready to showcase his talents again.
