Snoop Dogg recently teamed up with Levi’s for the Music Project where he gave advice to young kids in the Long Beach YMCA Youth Institute.
In a recent interview with Complex News, Snoop was asked about who his mentors were while growing up in the music industry.
“I’ve had many mentors in life. From football coaches to preachers to my homies and just good men in my life. I feel like D.O.C. was more of my mentor than Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre was more like the big brother because me and him, we made things together.” He said.
Snoop Dogg has always been connected to the city of Long Beach. He is synonymous with the LBC and it is great to see him reaching out to those kids still coming up in the game.
