The 70th Emmy Awards took place last weekend, which honored many television writers, actors, directors and people in the industry. However, it was not only the show itself that caught the public’s attention.
A Capital One commercial aired which featured Prince’s 1984 song “Let’s Go Crazy.” Prince fans then took to social media to express their shock since many are aware of his desire to not have his music in any type of commercial campaign. Prince made it clear that he did not want his music to be apart of the Internet, or showcased in this manner.
Check out some fan reactions below:

I am positive #Prince will never allow his music to be played over a commercial let alone a Capital One credit card one. At this point the “family” is simply just selling out for the money. #LetsGoCrazy #CapitolOne #emmys
