LeBron James has reportedly hired a team of armed security guards to patrol his Los Angeles mansion after learning that the home was on a target list by a group of burglars. LAPD recently arrested four suspects in connection to a string of high profile burglaries in the LA area.
The robbers have been responsible for more than 24 burglaries in high-end neighborhoods. Some of these homes include that of LA Dodgers’ outfielder Yasiel Puig (multiple times), Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods, Rihanna and Christina Milian, among others.
According to reports, the next homes that were set to be burglarized included those of LeBron James, Matt Damon and Viola Davis.
The Lakers player reportedly has at least 10 armed security personnel at his home, including off-duty police officers.
The Lakers’ season will start on the road in Portland on October 18.
