The iconic duo, Method Man and Redman have teased a sequel to their classic film, How High for some time now. Although fans later found out MTV would be producing a sequel to the film starring Lil Yachty and DC Young Fly, many were understandably upset.
It turns out one of the many people upset is DC Young Fly, who hoped the rap legends would be on-set. The comedian explained that “business is business” but he was ultimately expecting the Red and Meth to pop up on the set at some point.
“I was disappointed,” DC Young Fly told TMZ. “Everyday, is like, ‘Is [Method Man & Redman] comin’?…Even though they ain’t part of the movie, we still tryin’ to keep the culture alive.”
DC said the bar was set by the rap duo and that it would be difficult for the sequel to live up to ay expectations.
“We only can just, like I say, bridge the gap from the youth and the old and just bring them together because we can’t top that. Only thing we could do is just be another How High, just in a younger generation.” He said.
Who knows how the film will turn out. What we do know is we’ll definitely miss Red and Meth.
