Mya recently stopped by the KDAY Morning Show with Romeo to talk about her new album, TKO, the making of “Ghetto Superstar” with Pras and Ol’ Dirty Bastard and much more.

Mya explains how much she loves “90s R&B flavors” and makes sure to sprinkle that throughout her albums, including her latest release, TKO. “Ghetto Superstar” was a record that helped establish her career and legacy as someone that could make hits, she details the process of how Ol’ Dirty Bastard is responsible for her feature in the record.

She goes on to talk about how becoming a vegan five years ago was an easy transition for her, and that “it’s all in the seasoning.” She even tries to convince Romeo to try the vegan lifestyle, but he says the process may be too much for him.

Mya goes on to share her thoughts on being an independent artist. She states how she has more freedom to release music when she feels like it and that it causes a direct connection with her fans.
