Swizz Beatz has been known to collaborate and influence some of the most important artists in hip hop history. Throughout his collaborations, he’s worked with the likes of DMX, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss and more. Now, he’s managed to get Nas, Jay-Z, Jadakiss and DMX all in one track.
The last and only time others ever heard this song was during the beat battle he had with Just Blaze. Those in attendance were asked to stay silent about the track, but rumors circulated about it until Swizz admired to its existence.
The song titled “Just Because” was initially meant to be for Swizz’s “Poison” project, but at the end decided not to use it.
The producer recently stopped by Tidal’s Rap Radar Podcast to explain his reasoning.
“Imagine if I put that record on this album, I don’t think a lot of songs would be getting the attention that they’re getting as a body of work,” Swizz explained. “It took discipline, and I had to remove things on purpose…That would have been like the main thing on people’s lists.” He said.
Hopefully “Just Because” drops soon, as a star-studded track like that will get the acclaim it deserves.
