It should be to no surprise that Jay-Z and Beyonce are topping off the list of highest-grossing tour after dropping their highly anticipated, Everything Is Love album. This year, The Carters’ On The Run II Tour finished off with over $250 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.
The 48-date tour officially ended in October in Seattle, which included 18 shows in Europe, a two-night performance at London Stadium with over 125,000 tickets sold. Their highest-earning run came from their appearance in Atlanta at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, which earned around $14.1 million.
This marks an increase of 132 percent over the original On The Run Tour back in 2014. The first OTR tour landed on the No. 8 spot on the Billboard Top Tours list, this year the OTR II tour hit the No. 3 spot. The only tours to earn more than the OTR II tour were those of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.
Sheeran earns the top spot with nearly half a billion on the Divide tour that is currently still going on. The tour originally kicked off in March 2017 and has a total of 14 legs. Sheeran is set to begin Leg 11 in Latin America in February before closing things off next year on August.
Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour earns her No. 2 spot, followed by The Carters, Bruno Mars and P!nk.
