Many people consider Michael Jordan to be the greatest basketball player of all time, but it appears that he thinks otherwise. Jordan has never been short of confidence but when asked about the GOAT title, he dismissed it. In a recent interview with The Undefeated, the former basketball star said that he does not consider himself to be the greatest of all time.
“I don’t want it,” said Jordan on the GOAT title. “I think it disrespects Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, all the guys that prior to me, I never had the chance to play against.”
Jordan is paying respects to the multiple legends he never played against. “What everybody is saying I am, I never had the chance to compete against other legends that was prior to me,” he said. “For you to say that I’m better than him, I mean it’s your opinion. It’s their opinion. I accept that as their opinion. If you ask me, I would never say that I’m the greatest player.”
In your opinion, is Jordan the greatest?
