According to Lakers’ head coach Luke Walton, Lonzo Ball “isn’t close to returning” anytime soon. This will mean Ball will be out for the remaining regular season games.
Ball is set to meet with doctors this weekend to have his ankle re-evaluated. The player suffered a grade 3 ankle sprain, which means he almost had a complete tear of his ankle ligament. The recovery time for the injury is between 10 to 12 weeks, which is far longer than the team had hoped for.
Lonzo Ball has averaged 9.9 points 5.4 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 47 games for the Lakers this season.
