The Big Baller Brand has not had the greatest of weeks. Earlier this week, Lonzo Ball cut ties with BBB co-founder Alan Foster after he allegedly stole $1.5 million from the Lakers’ star.
Ball has since posted a photo on Instagram with the tagline, “It’s only a crazy dream until you do it.” It Was also captioned, “Moving on to bigger and better #MyOwnMan.” With this said, he left many wondering if he’d be trading the BBB for the classic Nike shoe.
In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, LeBron James talked about Lonzo and his possibilities of switching brands.
“I love the fact that he’s taking control of his s***. I mean, he’s, that’s what’s really, really dope to me. Once I saw that story, I just seen a kid turning into a man. ‘This is my career and I’m taking this. I done had enough with—whatever. I done had enough. Whatever. If I’m not going to be successful, I’m not going to be successful on my terms.’ I saw a lot of that. We’ll see.
James went on to say he would welcome Ball to Team Nike if he does choose to switch.
“Whatever the kid decides to do, whatever brand he comes with next—if it’s with Nike, obviously we would welcome him. I would definitely welcome him. I love the kid regardless of what shoes he had on. But we shall see.”
Hopefully Lonzo can pick the best brand he wants to represent to help the Lakers win a championship.
