John Singleton passed away on April 29th, following a stroke he suffered last month that brought him to a coma. His passing impacted many in cinema and the hip hop community, as he made sure to always tell the stories of black and brown people in his works.
Singleton’s impact not only came from classic films like Boyz n the Hood or Baby Boy, but also TV shows. Now, according to TMZ, Singleton will continue to be the executive producer of popular FX show, Snowfall. The show is a drama series set in the 80s about the crack epidemic in the U.S.
The third season is reportedly on the way, with John Singleton still said to posthumously be the executive producer of the show. The late director’s legacy will continue to live on even after his passing.
