Avengers: Endgame has become one of the most popular movies of all time. Having already broken multiple records since its release, the critically acclaimed film has also brought in millions of dollars for those involved with the process of making it happen. Considering the film became the highest-grossing film of 2019, as well as the highest-grossing superhero film of all time, it makes sense why the income from the movie was what it was.
Forbes recently released its annual ranking of the highest-grossing celebrities in the industry. Big names continued to pull in the most money, with Taylor Swift earning the top spot in place of Kylie Jenner, who even though has a net worth of $1 billion, was close behind. The list also featured stars from the Marvel Universe, with Chris Hemsworth, or Thor, earning the top spot in the franchise. Hemsworth is listed at the No. 24 spot with $76.4 million, Paul Rudd, or Ant-Man is at the No. 83 spot with $41 million. Robert Downey Jr., Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans also made the list. In total, six Avengers earned a total of $340 million.
“Celebrities such as Downey and Johansson currently have extreme leverage to demand enormous compensation packages from studios investing hundreds of millions of dollars in making tent-pole films, such as The Avengers series,” says entertainment lawyer David Chidekel.
Salute to the Marvel cast for making the Forbes list!
