Following Beyonce‘s work with Disney’s The Lion King, it appears that there will be more Disney and Beyonce content coming soon for the studios. Considering the live-action reboot of the film dominated the box office, success came as no surprise. When the stellar cast was announced, it led many fans of the original movie to look forward to this new version. Considering the cast included: Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Alfre Woodard, Eric André, Florence Kasumba, Beyonce, Keegan-Michael Key and many more, success was only a matter of time.
Beyonce’s work on the soundtrack raised the film’s popularity, which has led Disney to reportedly want to continue their relationship with the singer. The singer would ultimately get “free reign” from Disney to make films “under the Disney umbrella.”
“Beyonce’s deal with Disney for The Lion King was one of the biggest it has done to date. Now they want to expand it by giving her free reign to create her own movies under the Disney umbrella,” the Daily Mail states. “She is producing projects with Parkwood Entertainment but Disney bosses would like her to do the same for them in a partnership that would make her millions.”
Considering the singer is already producing projects with her entertainment company, Parkwood Entertainment, a partnership with Disney could ultimately earn her a lot of money.
