At this point of his career, disgraced singer R. Kelly is making more headlines for his sexual allegations than for anything else. Many are expecting Kelly to get a long sentence, especially with more charges being laid on him. Now, two new charges have been filed against the artist in Minnesota.
Kelly is being charged for an alleged incident that happened back in July 11, 2001. Apparently he paid an underage girl to come to his hotel room and perform sexual acts on him. The girl is said to have been either 16 or 17, and he allegedly paid them two-hundred dollars to get naked and perform said acts.
According to TMZ, prosecutors are charging Kelly with the crimes of engaging in prostitution with somebody under the age of 18 and hiring someone for sexual contact.
Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, has already chimed in on the new charges.
