Jay-Z has recently been receiving criticism from many people for his recent partnership with the NFL. Colin Kaepernick’s attorney, Mark Geragos has been one of the people letting it be known that he does not support Jay’s decision.
In a new interview with ABC News, Geragos talked about his stance on Jay’s controversial deal. Geragos feels the move was “cold-blooded,” considering he feels the mogul had already done the deal prior to reaching out to Kaepernick.
“This deal between Jay-Z and the NFL crosses the intellectual picket line,” Geragos said. “I can confirm to you that the deal was already done prior to any conversation that [Kaepernick] had with Jay-Z and he certainly didn’t have any conversations with the NFL,” he added.
Players such as Eric Reid and Kenny Stills have criticized Jay’s deal with the NFL, while rappers like Killer Mike, Cardi B and many more support the Brooklyn rapper. Vic Mensa also believes Jay will do the right thing and do good by Kaepernick and the black community.
