California has now taken one of the biggest steps in recreational marijuana consumption for the public. The first ever Cannabis cafe in the country has opened this past week in West Hollywood, which would allow consumers to smoke inside the restaurant.
Lowell Farms: A Cannabis Cafe is the first farm-to-table restaurant that openly highlights the usage of cannabis. Those who choose to smoke will be able to do so with either joints, pipes or bongs both inside and outside the restaurant. Those who attend will also be able to buy edibles as well.
“Lowell Cafe is a welcoming space for those who are cannabis connoisseurs and those who are canna-curious and looking to experience cannabis in a welcoming atmosphere,” the cafe said in a statement.
“In harmony with the West Hollywood community, the restaurant will offer a first-of-its-kind nightlife experience,” a spokeswoman for the company told CNN. “Lowell Farms: A Cannabis Cafe will serve as a welcoming and safe environment for all to enjoy and learn about consumption in the newly legal world of cannabis.”
The owners of the restaurant have previously stated that the smoke will not be a problem. Considering the restaurant is said to be stocked with a proper air-filtration system, there should be no problems.
Lowell Farms: A Cannabis Cafe is located at 1201 N La Brea Ave, West Hollywood, CA. You must be 21 years or older to enter.
