In this day in age we can refer to Fat Joe as being a legend in the music industry. The Bronx based rapper has contributed a lot in music, considering his relevance throughout the years, work with Big Pun, Remy Ma and much more. He also recently announced that his next album will feature collaborations with artists like Cardi B, Eminem, Lil Wayne and many more.
Fat Joe’s album Family Ties will be out this Friday, December 6, 2019. During an appearance on CBS This Morning, Joe reportedly hinted that he may be “done” after this one. “I’m almost out of here,” he said. “I think I’m retiring. I think it’s time to give it up.”
Some sources believe this may be a publicity stunt to increase sales, but who knows. Considering he finds fake retirement from rappers annoying, there’s a good chance he’s telling the truth. “I’ve got mad at all the other rappers who said they’re retiring and they came back. No, I’m a strong advocate against that. So I’m really – I’ve been flirting with it. I’m like a 85% gone,” he said.
Salute to Fat Joe and congrats on his upcoming album!
