O.T. Genasis has remade Keyshia Cole‘s song “Love” into his own cover called “Never Knew” which has gone viral. He even made a music video to his cover, but the video has been removed from YouTube. Keyshia has expressed that she isn’t a fan of his cover and would like her classic song to be left alone.

She sat down with her One on One With Keyshia Cole Panel and talked about how she felt about O.T. Genasis’ cover. She is happy when other artist sing her song, but didn’t like how O.T’s cover changed her words around. Artist like Trey songs and Bruno Mars have sung “Love”, but kept the original words. Keyshia said ” how am I gone get paid when you making new lyrics and you ain’t sent me out a check or anything like that? I don’t even know how that thing goes and people hitting me up saying like “Oh I would never listen to Keyshia Cole song the same”.

Her boyfriend Niko also commented on the song and suggested that people will still listen to Keisha’s original song if they are going through a heartbreak and if they want to hear “gangsta” music they might turn on OT Genasis. Well, looks like O.T is bothered that Keyshia is not feeling his cover because he shared a clip on Instagram of Keyshia’s show and captioned it, “damn Keyshia its like that, I thought you was from the Bay, I thought it was California Love, A nigga can’t have fun anymore lol.”
