Mike Tyson is ready for a comeback fight, or he’s BEEN ready and he’s not holding back for his upcoming match against Roy Jones Jr.
The 54-year-old boxing legend has been consistently training over the years in preparation for his return to the ring, while 51-year-old Jones has still stayed fresh in the ring up until about two years ago, so the match will definitely be something not to miss!
Speaking with TMZ Live, Tyson insisted that he will be going full force, saying, “Anybody who knows me, I don’t know how to [take my foot off the gas]. I just know one way of fighting and that’s just what it is.” The upcoming fight will be in support of charity and not him cashing a check, although Tyson has secured a partnership with social media app Triller that has backed the fight, which goes down in LA on September 12, and they’ve also secured the rights to a 10-part docuseries featuring Mike and Roy preparing for their fight.
Jones shared a short clip to his official Instagram account showing the two boxing icons signing their contracts.
