Scarface has had himself a heartbreaking year.
The iconic rapper announced his search for someone to donate their kidney to him, after his uphill battle fighting the coronavirus. The virus has left the MC with permanent organ damage and a myriad of other health concerns.
The Geto Boys rapper, 49, called out to his fans on social media Wednesday — and many flocked with support and the opportunity to be his donor. “I’m a go find out… all that street s— your music got me thru, a kidney would be my pleasure,” responded fellow rapper Glasses Malone. His lungs were also effected by the virus, but have since made a recovery and now the kidneys are the major thing plaguing him.
Today the rapper took to his Twitter account to share some uplifting news as he posted that he has started the process of getting a transplant and continued to thank everyone for their outpouring of support.
Although Scarface is now coronavirus-free, the rapper is among the millions to have contracted Covid-19 all across the globe. The virus has killed more than 210,000 people in the U.S. and is still a major concern in many other countries.
