The Pomona icon himself Suga Free tapped in with Cece and Romeo of the 935 KDAY Morning Show to discuss his latest music in the works, ‘Group Therapy Project’. As the current album sees Free and long time friend and collaborator DJ Quik back to working in the studio together, the “If You Stay Ready” rapper points out that he worked with LA Native MarSnare on new music as a way to continue to give opportunity to those on the rise.
Suga Free also chops it up with the Morning Show duo about his classic songs that have been staples in the culture and details how “Why You Bullsh***in'” came together and the success it had back in 1997.
Free goes on to share that he actually came up with his performance name while spending time behind bars, because he always he he wanted to be a rapper and wanted to take his talent and craft seriously, and the vet also talks about his hopes of putting together a documentary about his life and come up in the near future.
