It was only this past April that we lost the incredible talent of Gregory Jacobs, aka Shock G, at the age of 57.
The late Digital Underground pioneer will soon be remembered by Oakland this coming August 21, with a city-wide celebration event that will give back to more than 2,000 unhoused community members. Speaking with TMZ, the rapper’s longtime manager Atron Gregory shared that Shock’s family and friends will head the event of feeding the city of Oakland, and a motorcade traveling through Oakland to City Hall, will play host to a Shock G tribute featuring live music, performances, and speakers.
