California's First Latino Senator Alex Padilla Speaks On The Importance Hip Hop Celebration Day

California’s FIRST Latino state Senator Alex Padilla spoke with the KDAY Morning Show co-hosts Cece and Romeo about the historical passing of the recognizing of Hip Hop.

Now, Padilla has definitely had his hands full with pressing issues concerning the pandemic, health care, unemployment, and much more, but Padilla also had his hand in representing the West Coast in the Hip-Hop bill. Hip-Hop will now have its own day of celebration every year on August 11th, as it signifies the birth of hip-hop and Novemeber has now officially become Hip-Hop History Month.

Having grown up in the local San Fernando Valley, Padilla represents the classic hip hop vibes in true Los Angeles fashion and notes that music has the ability to bring people together and open conversations on issues concerning the community. Padilla goes on to speak with Cece and Romeo on the importance of vaccinations and how the pandemic has greatly impacted our communities.
