After years of collaborations and appearing on Snoop Dogg’s debut ‘Doggystyle’ album, Tha Dogg Pound’s Kurupt has revealed that he’s been inspired by the legendary Snoop to create his own reality television show.
As the “Who Ride Wit Us” rapper has cited Snoop for contributing to building his career, Kurupt recently told HipHopDX that he was looking to the mogul’s path for inspiration for his own reality show, which stars himself and his wife Lisa Calinanita. “We’re working on a reality show right now,” says Kurupt. He continues, “It will be about me and my wife in the everyday life of Kurupt and LiLi. It’s called LiLi and Gotti.” Kurupt also shares with the hip-hop entertainment site that other reality shows like Brat Loves Judy and T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle, it was initially Snoop’s 2007 show, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood, that inspired the idea of the show.
Me and my wife, we love Da Brat. And Brat Loves Judy, we just really love that. We love T.I. and Tiny. I think my favorite is Tiny, but my main inspiration really came from Snoop. Most of my inspirations come from Snoop because Snoop is the champ. His reality show with his wife, that was my main inspiration. I’d like them to see not just Kurupt. Now they’re going to have the ability to see who Ricardo is, the man.
Kurupt goes on to share that early on in his career Snoop taught him to loosen up and find the humor in life, as that was something that was difficult to accept in the past.
Kurupt is hoping to land his show on WE tv, which he has appeared on the network’s Marriage Bootcamp show!
