Shaquille O’Neal and Lebron James are not strangers to each other. Having already played and earned a championship together at the Miami Heat , Shaq had something to say to his former team mate.
In a recent interview on ESPN, the Hall of Famer warned James about not chasing rings the end of his career.
“My problem toward the end of my career was I was trying to shut everybody up and I was greedy,” Shaq said. “After I got to three [titles], everybody was saying I couldn’t get another. So, I got four. After I got the fourth, they were saying I couldn’t get another one. So, I was trying to make quick stops to get it. Phoenix, Cleveland, Boston.”
Shaq continues by saying that LeBron’s legacy is already set on the record books. “He done already passed up legends, he done already made his mark — he has three rings.” he says.
There will always be comparisons between the greatest players of all time, and LeBron should definitively be in that conversation.
