Magic Johnson says LeBron James’ arrival to the Lakers has taken their rebuilding plan to “a whole ‘nother level.” He continues by saying that the team will remain disciplined and will keep salary-cap space to get another free agent next summer.
“If we feel there’s somebody out there or a deal to be made to make our team better, then we’ll do it as long as it’s a great deal for us,” Johnson said during a conference call Friday.
Johnson added on by saying that LeBron will be taken into consideration when getting new players.
“We’re gonna go to LeBron and say if there’s a deal to be made for guys available, we’ll say to him, ‘What do you think about this guy? You know him. You play against him. You know the backstory and everything about the guy.” he said.
Johnson says the different personalities will work well for next season.
