Former Laker Lamar Odom has announced that he’ll be once again playing pro basketball in The Dubai International Basketball Championship on February 2019. Odom will be representing Mighty Sports from the Philippines, with his previous goal being to play in the Chinese Basketball Association. However, he didn’t feel like he was physically ready to play in China.
Odom took to Instagram to express his next move.
“I’d like to announce that I will be playing in The Dubai International Basketball Championship this February 1st 2019 !!!!!!! 🠀I will be representing team @mightysports_ph from the Philippines with my 4ever #7 ! To me this is a great warming up for the @thebig3 !! It’s been a minute since I’ve professionally competed and I hope to be as explosive as I used to be!
Lamar has plans to play in Ice Cube’s Big3 league soon, so this should serve as a needed step to get there. He hasn’t played professional basketball since the 2012-13 season, where he played with the Clippers.
It’s great to see L.O. back to doing what he loves. Keep it up!
