Ja Rule continues to be questioned by the masses about his involvement in the Fyre Festival fiasco. Although Billy McFarland has managed to escape most criticism, Ja is still getting attacked by many.
The Fyre Festival caterer, Maryann Rolle, claims she paid up $50K from her own money to feed ticket buyers and staff who were stuck there as the concert fell apart. Ja Rule has since issued an apology to Rolle, but says he will have to do more than just a simple apology.
In a recent interview with TMZ, Maryann felt that he meant the apology, but that he’ll have to offer her monetary compensation for the pain she had to go through.
“I don’t know if he was aware of the pain and hard work that I went through because he was in the front line of everything…If he’s sorry, he should be donating something to me. Because sorry is more than a word, it’s an action. So I hope he puts his sorry into action.” She said.
Rolle said she would be using the money to pay her employees and her bills, due to the festival.
Rolle was seen in Netflix’s Fyre Fest documentary, where she detailed what she went through. She said she used up her own savings and was never paid for her work. She has since launched a GoFundMe page where she raised $150K from viewers of the documentary.
