The Lakers have had to deal with multiple injuries as of late. Ranging from Lonzo Ball’s ankle sprain, LeBron James and Rajon Rondo going down on Christmas Day, it’s been nonstop for the Lakers. LeBron‘s groin injury alarmed fans as it could’ve been worse than expected.
Now it seems like it’s not all bad for the LA squad, as Rondo is gearing up to be back in the lineup on Thursday.
Coach Luke Walton addressed ESPN regarding Rondo’s situation.
“I think Rondo will play Thursday as long as he continues to move with no setbacks until then, but that will be something that we’ll keep pushing him and we’ll re-evaluate each morning.” He said.
Walton also said he’s not confident on LeBron’s return just yet, as the Lakers star has yet to make contact. He did mention that LeBron is a serious athlete, so the former Cavs star is doing everything in his power to get back on the court.
The Lakers are currently ninth in the Western Conference with a record of 25-23 and look to play the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night at the Staples Center.
