Before his passing, Nipsey Hussle had developed a reputation as someone who helped and uplifted his community. Now that the suspect shooter has been arrested, reports have stated what Nip had been doing that fateful day. According to TMZ, Hussle was helping a friend when he was gun downed in front of The Marathon Clothing store.
According to the report, Nipsey was helping a friend get settled who had recently been released from prison. Nip had taken his friend down to The Marathon clothing store to get him some new clothes before he’d go to see his family.
Nip’s decision to go to the store was reportedly a last-minute one, thus why his team and security was not notified. Two others survived the gunshot wounds, including the alleged friend the rapper was helping. The third person is reportedly the friend’s nephew who drove him to the Marathon store.
The suspect, Eric Holder, was arrested yesterday after he had fled the scene. A judge set his bail at more than $7 million early this morning.
