Last week, a couple reports mentioned Jay-Z having set up a trust fund for Nipsey Hussle’s children, however, they proved to be false. This doesn’t change the fact that Jay and Nipsey were close, considering Nip worked closely with Hov’s company, Roc Nation. With this said, the entire Knowles family has been looking to understand the situation, including Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles.

Earlier this week, Ms. Knowles spoke with Maria Shriver in an episode of her podcast where she mentioned the entire family coming together in a group chat following Nipsey’s passing. Tina, Beyoncé, Solange, Kelly Rowland and Kelly’s niece are all part of a group chat, saying that mourning together has been “comforting.”

“He’s on my son-in-law’s label and my son-in-law [Jay-Z] loved him so much. He was such a great guy that the whole community is sad, but it’s really comforting to be able to be on that group chat and talk about it,” Tina Knowles said.

Nipsey Hussle’s funeral procession will travel 25 miles through Los Angeles following his memorial service at the Staples Center this Thursday.
