It’s been a while since Fat Joe dropped a solo studio album. The rapper has been working on collaborations and new tracks throughout the beginning of the year, but now it appears Joe will be looking to begin “Operation Paralyze The Summer.” Earlier this week, Fat Joe announced his new single, “Pullin” will be released featuring Lil Wayne and longtime collaborator, Dre of Cool & Dre.
Wayne and Fat Joe have worked together multiple times, including on hit songs “Make It Rain,” “About All That,” and many more. However, it’s been a while since the two came back together but, with their track record, it could potentially become a hit.
“Pullin” samples Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” throughout the chorus, which will be to the delight of many as it sounds perfect when it comes on.
Joe is never one to shy away from praising Lil Wayne’s rapping ability. In a 2018 interview, Joe talked about some rappers that could be considered the greatest of all time. “Lil Wayne is in that,” he said. “Lil Wayne would be the king of that era. I’ll just say it early, Lil Wayne would be the king. His pen was phenomenal. He was running circles on n*****. Remember when he did that Jay-Z s*** over? We couldn’t even believe a n**** could rap like that.”
