Earlier this year, former Lakers star Lamar Odom expresses his desire in wanting to play professional basketball once again. However, since then, Odom had plans to play in the BIG3 league before getting cut from the league.
Now, BIG3 league coach and former NBA all-star Reggie Theus had some things to say about the “deactivation” of Odom from the league. “It just really depends on your body and if you’re taking care of yourself. And also, you know, what people forget about pros on any level, it’s not just physical, it’s mental. It’s your desire. You gotta be hungry. You can’t play this game without being hungry,” he said in a recent talk with TMZ.
“I just don’t know if he’s hungry enough if that’s what he really wants to do,” Theus concludes.
Just last week, TMZ caught up with Odom to talk about his cutting from the BIG3 league. He stated that, “I’ma play professional basketball again. Maybe in the Philippines or something like that. But, that’s just another setback. When one thing gets taken from you, another beautiful thing pops up.”
Considering Odom is taking up motivational speaking with a company called MicDrop, he surely has other endeavors outside of basketball.
