Bizzy Bone stops by the studio to talk to Romeo and Cece about what moves he’s making in 2019, which surprisingly includes a lot of social media. The Bone Thugs-N-Harmony member now has a YouTube vlog and is still in the studio making three songs a day, and touring.
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio with his hip-hop pioneering group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Bizzy spoke on how the five members grew up together and came to meet the late rapper E-Eazy and how the N.W.A. icon assisted with the group’s launch.
It was a lot of misses, but we were so young that we were so vigorous in our plight, and it was just like, a blessing. It just felt like something directly from God; is the only way I can really explain what it felt like to meet him, and him just pick us up. Because. we ain’t have no food, we ain’t have no clothes, we ain’t have no parental guidance. We was all darn near under 18 years old, so it was just like a blessing from God. God just blessed us and touched us.
Having a solid place in the hip-hop culture and influence for today’s music, Bizzy commented on the recent situation that went down with Migos rapper Offset saying O.G. rappers should be “kissing” the feet of the new generation of rappers.
When he said they should be kissing our feet, I said, “Oh, my God! Oh, Goddamn!” I said, “Lord, have mercy!” But, you know, I can dig it. You know, swag is good. The new generation is good. If it’s keeping music alive, so i take all those things into consideration. You know, you still want to push the youth and use them towards the future and push them up there. Keep pushing them, no matter what the turmoil.
Bizzy shares how he’s continuing to stay focused in music by staying consistent in the studio, talks his current youtube vlog, and shares how his son is now following in his footsteps.
