Angel Brinks has built her business empowering women and dressing some of the most well-known women in the world, including Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Kim. She stops by the studio with her man Jackie Long to talk about her WeTV show ‘Angel Brinks: The Real Bling’ and what’s next for her in the entertainment industry.

While Brinks has designed for some of her favorite celebrities and even still dreams of working with Missy Elliott and Jennifer Lopez, Angel sits down with Cece and Romeo of the KDAY Morning show about her experience filming her show and how she had to deal with a store flood days before an important fashion show. Having worked with Lil’ Kim as her career as just beginning, Angel speaks on what it was like working with the Queen Bee rapper.

I got her earlier on in my career. Now, I’m more seasoned. But, when I first did it, I was like sitting next to her on the couch and she was going through everything with me. Usually, you go through stylists but sometimes they want to speak to the designers themselves. So, when I was sitting next to her I was so nervous. But she’s so sweet! But, you know, I listened to her music my whole life.

Angela and her boyfriend Jackie Long go on to speak about their dating relationship and Long even explains the viral moment he had with rapper 50 Cent.
