There’s a lot of pressure riding on both LeBron James and Anthony Davis this season for the Lakers. Not only was Davis the biggest addition to the squad, the Lakers’ performance this preseason has proven the team can gel well together. With this, many believe the Lakers can go all the way and win the NBA championship.
However, this isn’t the first time a LeBron super-team has had high expectations. Back in 2010, James joined the Miami Heat, teaming up with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to form one of the most deadly trios in NBA history. Now, with Davis on the Lakers, there’s been comparisons between the former Heat team and the current Lakers. LeBron has since stated the difference between the two teams.
“The temperature in the room when joining Miami was extremely hot,” LeBron said. “People acted as if we were the first-ever Big 3 assembled. Right now the temp is very cool.”
Although both teams are different, the Heat did have higher expectations back in the day. Considering the Clippers have an equally impressive roster, there’s many contending teams.
LeBron discusses the difference between creating the Heat’s Big 3 & AD joining the Lakers. 💯
