DeMarcus Cousins can been considered one of the unluckiest NBA players of the past couple of years. Having to deal with new injuries so frequently has prevented him from showing his dominance on the court and earn a max-contract deal. Many fans were excited to see Cousins with the Lakers this season, but he tore his ACL earlier this season which was expected to sideline him for nine to 12 months.

However, in a new report released by ESPN, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has stated that the team hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of Cousins playing this season.

Cousins tore his Achilles back in 2018, which caused him to miss close to a year of action before playing 30 games with the Golden State Warriors. He then suffered a torn quadriceps muscle in the playoffs, Erich led to him playing just eight games in his first postseason appearance.

It it all goes well and as expected for the Lakers, they could have Cousins making a huge impact in May or June of next year.

Frank Vogel says the Lakers haven’t closed the door on DeMarcus Cousins returning at some point this season.
