YouTube Originals will be releasing the “Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert” documentary. The film was made in partnership with the festival, with the documentary set to premiere on March 31st, just days prior to the annual festival. The film will explore the early years of the festival, as well as unique footage of several performances.
Viewers can enjoy headlining performances, and backstage stories that occurred over the last two decades. There will be exclusive interviews with performance heavyweights such as Kanye West, Rage Against The Machine , Madonna, and Travis Scott. YouTube announced its return as the official live-stream and playlist partner for the two Coachella weekends for the 10th year running.
While general tickets for weekend-1 are sold out, YouTube Premium viewers will be in luck. They’ll receive exclusive access to members-only passes along with other Coachella perks. The full lineup was announced earlier this month , and will be headlined by Rage Against The Machine ,Frank Ocean, and Travis Scott.
