One of the hardest working and most consistent artists in the game, MC Magic took a moment to speak with the 935 KDAY Morning Show hosts CeCe and Romeo about life during the novel coronavirus pandemic and how the current times have greatly impacted not only his artistry but his family as well.

Sharing with the Morning Show hosts that he recently lost his father to COVID-19, MC Magic also reveals that his mother is currently in the hospital fighting covid and he also had to recover from the virus for 15 days. Although the virus has taken a toll on his family life, as an artist and entrepreneur, Magic discusses his new music hustle that has become more successful in light of not being able to do his more than 100 live concerts a year.

The rapper talks how he creatively flipped his music by curating new merchandise ventures with make-up, clothing apparel, as well as shoes, by using his song titles as names for his products.

Magic also goes on to speak on the new music on the way and artists he’s working with, explains why he doesn’t watch television or movies, why he believes he could go up against Lil Rob in a Verzuz Battle, and much more.
