It looks as though Chuck D wants to squash all qualms with Public Enemy member Flavor Flav and move forward with the group.
You may remember back in March 2020, Chuck announced that Flav was fired from the iconic hip-hop group after an argument over appearing at Bernie Sanders rally. According to TMZ, the long-standing beef between Flav and PE boiled over following Flav issuing a cease and desist to Bernie’s campaign, which he accused them of using his image and likeness for a gig Chuck D agreed to play in support of the then-presidential candidate.
The entertainment site recently caught up with Chuck, during the momentous Universal Hip Hop Museum groundbreaking and asked if Public Enemy would ever reunite. While Chuck did mention that the group isn’t split up, he does hint that it’s up to Flav if he wants to return to the group.
