Just a few weeks back, Nas released the follow-up to his Grammy award-winning King’s Disease album, which is the sequel to the 2020 offering. While Nas had assistance from hip-hop greats and legends like Eminem, Erick Sermon and Parish Smith of EPMD, and Charlie WIlson, it was the “Nobody” collab that had many people talking.
The King’s Disease II track features the illustrious Ms. Lauryn Hill, who hasn’t release a full-length album since her 1998 debut solo album ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.’ While vets and true hip-hop heads would already be privy of the two previously touring together back in 2017, many were shocked to be reminded of the skill of not only Nas, but Hill as well.

Recently speaking with Apple Music host Ebro, Nas discussed a conversation he had with Hill where he says she couldn’t understand why people thought Nas could get a feature from her. “I hit her up, ‘Yo, this is crazy. People are asking me like, how did I get you on a record,’” says Nas. “She’s laughing like, ‘What do you mean? We just had a tour like, a few years ago.’”
Ebro then reminds Nas by stating, “I feel like she doesn’t understand how much she’s needed, similar to yourself. The value of a pure rapper who is very, very great. That skillset to be able to bar it up and make and master the ceremony, which Lauryn does on this track nine.”
